TEQUISQUIAPAN

At 45 minutes from the city of Querétaro is Tequiquiapan, quiet place to rest.

The city noted for its colonial architecture, surrounded by hot springs and tequezquite, hence its name in Nahuatl means that instead of water and tequezquite.

Tequisquiapan are the attractions in the Recreational Park "La Pila" with landscaping, pool, skating rink, tennis court and games. Also there is the Cultural Center where Tequisquiapan presents temporary exhibitions and conferences and opal mines and the Museum of Cheese and Wine.

At the end of the month May is the National Fair of the Cheese and Wine, where the main producers of cheeses and wines of the country present their best products. Tequisquiapan also offers attractive tours and tours of the village and places nearby Tequisquiapan Bernal.
